Join the free Windows on Queen exhibition opening and guided community walk on 25 July.

Date: July 25
Location: Fusion Café, corner of Queen and Station St, St Marys
Exhibition opening: Guests welcome from 11am, official opening at 11:30
Community walk from 12 noon – 1pm

July 25 is opening day! From 11am local historians and project participants will be at Fusion Café St Marys, on the corner of Queen and Station Streets. Come along and talk to our researchers from St Marys and District Historical Society, community participants and shop owners, our guest artists and the Penrith City Council support team.

The exhibition will be officially opened at 11:30, followed by a guided community walk from 12-1pm. This is an exceptional opportunity to understand St Marys through the eyes of those who have lived through all the change. Watching the streetscape evolve through the windows of hairdressers; remembering a night out at the Crown Theatre with a young sweetheart and catching the old busses from the corner of Station and Queen… these are the voices that have built this remarkable account of the lively past of St Marys.

If you wish to navigate our walking course solo, please download our walking course and location map (pdf 1.6mb). To get the most out of your walk, download a QR reader to your phone. You can scan the posters for more information about each site, including interviews, extended site information and interviews with owners and community members.
